Different music genres require different sounds from an acoustic guitar. As an example, pop music usually has a brighter tone with more reverb than folk music does. This is a general rule not an absolute rule.
Below is a classic example of how we hear the acoustic guitar tone adjusted by a person who is not fully experienced in mixing. Very often it is a friend or band member who is doing it without charge. Free is nice, it can also be a detriment.
What you are hearing is is the same acoustic guitar in both the before and after; however the after is more dynamic, clearer and sounds more interesting. This is a great example of what we can do for you at SoundBurst Studios.
